Choose Your Own Adventure – 21st Century style

When I was young, I absolutely loved the ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ books. So much so that I still have every one.

My children haven’t really taken to them but perhaps that’s because they need something new, well here it comes… from Netflix.

This year, Netflix will offer interactive ‘choose your own adventure’ stories where children can decide what happens next. ‘Puss in Book: Trapped in an epic tale’ goes live today (28th June) and others follow next month.

The “Puss in Book” story pauses 13 times to offer choices and has two different endings to choose from. It can last 18 to 39 minutes, depending on the child’s choices along the way.

It sounds amazing. It’s going to be interesting to see if my children like these better.

Somehow, I suspect that they will!
